Among somewhat more serious issues, the fact that Donald Trump's show The Apprentice was overlooked by the Emmys came up during the final presidential debate.

Hillary Clinton reminded viewers that Trump essentially said the awards ceremony was rigged when his production didn't win -- a fact as usual backed up by several of Trump's own tweets.

Stephen Colbert wasted no time jumping on the topic, taunting Trump with two Emmy awards of his own during The Late Show after the debate.

"You really should get one; they're wonderful," he gloated, a shining statue in each hand.

It naturally went down well on Twitter.
