EA Sports' College Football '25 is here and the internet has jokes and memes
A decade ago meme culture on the internet was hardly even a thing. There were memes, sure, but the collective internet didn't meme events as constantly and ruthlessly.
In 2013, when the last NCAA Football video game was released, Doge and Grumpy Cat were the hottest memes around. But now EA Sports' College Football '25 is set to be released this week and it's already inspiring tons of great, and modern, memes.
The game has been long awaited. EA stopped making it all those years ago due to legal issues surrounding NCAA rules, but, now that players can be paid for their likeness, the game is back. And, as Mashable covered in depth, it is a huge deal for a generation of gamers who loved the franchise.
