One-up your eccentric art teacher with functional colored pencil nails

Fully functioning, but deeply impractical.

Students trying to look fly while getting ready for back-to-school season: Here's a very (im)practical solution that might save you a few bucks.

The Russian nail artists behind the Instagram account @nail_sunny posted a rather remarkable manicure that doubles as a functioning set of colored pencils.

It's an impressive sight to behold: four perfectly done-up fingers that look exactly like blue, red, yellow, and green pencils, and can ostensibly be used to draw on paper.

If you're wondering how to get the look yourself, @nail_sunny generously shared a time-lapse video of the process -- one that looks to be extremely time consuming considering it involves actual colored pencils.

First, the acrylic tips are painted to mimic the shape of pencils, and then a nail artist attaches the core of a colored pencil to the back of each nail, meaning they're completely functional.

Now we need nail art that doubles as a pen, a notebook, a stapler, and a tape dispenser, and the class of 2019 will be good to go.
