'Connect One,' the epitome of dumb ideas, is now a real game you can play. Seriously.

Sometimes an idea is so dumb that's actually good. Connect One is not one of those ideas.

Connect Four can be a tense and difficult game of strategy, trying to meet your own goal of connecting four plastic chips in a row while simultaneously trying to thwart your opponent from doing the same.

Connect One is pretty much the same but with none of the difficulty or strategy and about 98% fewer holes. Also Connect One is a joke, imagined by some internet user with Photoshop and a sense of humor:

But because this is the kind of world that gives us such games as I am Bread and Genital Jousting, Connect One now exists in the digital world as an actual playable game for up to eight players.

Connect One is a free add-on to the Steam game Tabletop Simulator, which allows people to play board games and tabletop games together online. There are over 16,000 user-created games available to download for Tabletop Simulator, it was only a matter of time before someone made Connect One.

The comments on Connect One are great, such as His Royal Magesty Isaac Tegeler's thoughtful review:

"When I first installed I thought that this game would be a hoot, and easy to beat. Little did I know that it would be extremely difficult to decide what moves to make, and how to win. It was both challenging and exciting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will definitely be recommending this to everyone I know, and am looking forward to dlc or expansions to this product. 10/10"

Unfortunately BattleBear (among other users) was having a tough time figuring it out:

"Too complicated. Period."

Connect One isn't for everybody.
