Converse's new Chuck Taylors will light up your night

It's the "most forward-thinking Chuck Taylor in over one hundred years."

We thought we saw everything when Converse unveiled its second iteration ever of the Chuck Taylor last fall

Now, the brand announced it would release another style for spring. Calling it the "most forward-thinking Chuck Taylor in over one hundred years," the new Chuck II will not only be more comfortable, it will be completely made of reflective print canvas. Meaning, you will be lighting up the dark with these sneaks.

“When creating the latest version of our successful Chuck II sneaker, we were inspired by our consumers and being able to further enhance their creative and active lifestyles,” said Ryan Case, Converse product director. “With the Chuck II Reflective Print, we’ve given our consumers a sneaker that provokes personal style while enhancing visibility in low light, enabling them to do more of what they enjoy throughout the day or night.”

The sneaker combines the enhanced comfort of the Nike Lunarlon sockliner, nonslip padded tongue and micro suede lining. The styles will include two different kinds of camo, star prints in white and red, both in lo and hi-top versions.

The brand, which has touted itself as the "world's most celebrated sneaker," launched in 1917 and had its first upgrade last year. 

The new Chuck II reflective print collection will be available on March 3 at Converse retail stores and online at converse.com. The star prints will be available in April. Prices range from $80-$85.
