Everyone is jealous of Cookie Monster's adorable new best friend

On Monday, the blue Muppet traveled to Taronga Zoo in Sydney, Australia to meet his brand new friend, a lovable quokka. It's a match made in heaven. Both creatures are deeply, profoundly fuzzy, and Cookie is also very generous with his cookies -- an aspirational quality in any friend, human or monster.

Cookie boldly proclaimed that the quokka was the "happiest animal," which some/all scientists may contest. Still, this photo makes a compelling case for his theory.
While at the zoo, Cookie also had a romantic dalliance with a kangaroo.
And was sadly snubbed by an emu, but who cares. She's probably just afraid of commitment.
This koala was playing it cool, but she was soon won over by Cookie's charm/cookies.
Cookie Monster, we'll do anything to be your friend. We'll bribe you with Oreos, Chips Ahoy, even Fig Newtons.
