Hot or not?

The iPhone 8 can't be contained anymore.

Earlier this week, images of a new "copper gold" (or bronze) iPhone 8 dummy model surfaced, and now YouTuber Danny Winget has created a thorough hands-on video showing off the unit.

Winget acquired three high-quality dummy units of what is believed to be the iPhone 8. Apple is expected to unveil the next iPhone in three colors (silver, black, and copper gold) according to KGI Securities Ming-Chi Kuo and Winget's mockups back the claim up.

While the all-black unit and silver/white models look slick, Winget didn't didn't have words for the new copper iPhone. With white bezels, he says it's his least favorite version out of the three iPhone 8 mockups, going as far to call it "hideous on this color."

Judge for yourself. Ugly or not?

"The shade is much darker," Winget says. "It's hard to even describe this color. I think it's pretty ugly. This is a drastic change from the rose gold colors "

One new thing we might have learned is the color of the frame. Winget says it's a polished gold finish and not copper or bronze.

As ugly as he thinks the copper and white bezel looks, he's also careful to point out that it's a dummy model, so the final version could be different. The hue could look better on the real deal and Apple could go with a black bezel around the edge-to-edge display instead of a white one. "Most production units tend to look better when they're out in real life."

The iPhone 8's expected to launch next month alongside a refreshed 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone. Rumors say it might still release on time, but at over $1,000. A new edge-to-edge display without a Touch ID home button, vertically-oriented dual camera system, and advanced 3D face recognition are only a handful of the new features Apple will likely announce for the new phone.

But this new color, hot or not?
