We are all a little possessive of our best friends, but at a certain point we just have to let go. Unless we really don't want to.

One happy couple and their best man took a series of photos that perfectly capture the struggle we all face when our BFF starts giving someone else their attention.

Brittney and Kody of Arlington, Ohio, posted the pictures from their engagement and wedding shoots on Facebook. The first photo features Kody's best friend Mitch attempting to join in their kiss, and their boots playfully spell out, "I Don't."

The trio then decided to recreate the photo with their wedding photographer Lindsey Berger. This time Brittney's boots read "I won," while Mitch's read "Shut up."

The internet was really into it. Brittney told Mashable that the response to this photoshoot has been very positive, "Everyone has been tagging us in everything and saying things like, 'I can't believe I'm friends with famous people.' All of this really came as a surprise to us as we were really just having some fun, and I think we're all still a little shocked by all the recognition our pictures have received."

We also spoke to Mitch who said that of all the photoshoot fans, his biggest supporter has been his girlfriend. Sorry, ladies, if you thought you could snag the sad best man.

If you ever find yourself in his situation, it obviously pays to have a good sense of humor. And, who knows, maybe someday this groom can do the same thing for his best man.
