A luxury cruise line is launching private jet service so their passengers have nothing to do but relax
Passengers on the luxury cruise line Crystal Cruises are used to the finer things in life, so the company is on a mission to control every aspect of the travel experience.
This month Crystal Cruises launched a private jet service to provide a five-star experience not only on the water but in the air.

Onboard the the first addition to Crystal Cruises' air fleet, a Bombardier XRS put into service on May 1, passengers won't have to deal with any of the problems less fortunate travelers experience.
Within the plane's two cabins, there are four executive seats, a conference space, lounge, isolated work station and an entertainment system that includes surround sound and a 31.5 inch LCD display, and even a high-temperature oven for mid-flight baking. The plane's lie-flat leather seats transform into double beds.
"Crystal Luxury Air will open tremendous possibilities for luxury travelers seeking the next level of ease and exclusivity during their journeys," Crystal president and CEO Edie Rodriguez said in a statement, adding that every part of travel on the charter service is customizable — because obviously.
And the luxury doesn't stop there: Even the lavatory is glamorous on this plane.
The porcelain throne includes a square leather seat covering the toilet — "large and plush enough to serve as the proverbial office," wrote Jeri Clausing of Travel Weekly, who took a tour of the plane.
Crystal Cruises also plans to add a Boeing 777 and a 787 Dreamliner to its fleet by 2018. The aircraft will take passengers on a luxury, 14-day world tour that will cost $50,000, and a 28-day "air cruise" that will cost $100,000, according to CNN.
The cruise line will own all aircraft — and keep the on-board butlers and pilots among their staff — but is using an external partner for aircraft operation, including maintenance, safety standards and pilot training.
