Wait, is T-Mobile's free iPhone 17 Pro, iPad, and Apple Watch bundle as good as it sounds?

As with any carrier promotion, the devices aren't actually free at the register.

T-MOBILE IPHONE DEAL: New and existing customers can score a free iPhone 17 Pro, an iPad, and an Apple Watch SE 3 with the "Ultimate Apple Bundle," saving up to $2,000, in theory. We checked the fine print to see if this deal is as legit as it sounds.

Score a free iPhone 17 Pro, an A16 iPad, and an Apple Watch SE 3 (saving up to $2,000) when you trade in an eligible device and activate three service lines on a premium T-Mobile plan.

T-Mobile is closing out Cyber Monday with a deal that looks frankly ridiculous: the chance to get the iPhone 17 Pro (starting at $1,099), an A16 iPad (starting at $499.99), and an Apple Watch SE 3 (starting at $299.99) for free. For new and existing customers, this "Ultimate Apple Bundle" is a quick and easy way to upgrade your entire personal tech lineup (even if you don't have the cash on hand).

So, what's the catch? After all, there's no such thing as a free lunch — or iPhone — right?

Per the fine print, you can get this deal by trading in a device and activating three required service lines on a premium T-Mobile plan. Let's break it down.

How to get the Ultimate Apple Bundle at T-Mobile

Now, while this is a kick ass deal, the savings come with a major commitment. To qualify for the iPhone 17 Pro, you'll need to trade in an eligible device (even a damaged one is fine) and sign up for T-Mobile’s premium Experience Beyond phone plan (starting at $100+ per month with AutoPay). You'll also need to add two new service lines: one for the iPad A16 mobile internet line and one for the Apple Watch SE 3 wearable service. And, of course, there's a full sales tax on the pre-credit price of the devices due upfront, plus a $35 connection charge per device.

The total discount is delivered via bill credits stretched out over two to three years (24 months for the phone, 36 for the accessories), meaning you have to keep all those lines active and in good standing to receive the full savings. If you cancel your account early, the credits stop, and you'll be responsible for paying the full amount due.

The bottom line is this: This is an awesome deal for anyone who's already planning to trade in their phone or switch to T-Mobile (and wants the absolute latest Apple hardware without paying upfront). If you were only looking for a cheap phone deal, this commitment is probably overkill, but for the right customer, it's one of the best deals of 2025.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Free" means T-Mobile is giving you a discount equivalent to the full price of all three devices. However, the discount is applied as bill credits spread out over the 24-month (iPhone) or 36-month (iPad/Watch) financing terms. You must pay the full sales tax and the $35 device connection charge per item upfront.

You can cancel your account or pay off the devices early, but you'll lose the remaining bill credits. If you cancel your entire account, the full outstanding balance of the required finance agreements for all three devices becomes due immediately. To receive the full promotional value, you'll need to keep all three service lines active for the full term (24 or 36 months).

To get the free iPhone 17 Pro, you must be on the Experience Beyond plan (or an existing Go5G Next customer). This is T-Mobile’s premium unlimited plan and costs at least $100 per month for a single line with AutoPay.
