Daisy Ridley wrote a lovely note for a random dude who asked her to his college formal
Kevin Carlock can't take Daisy Ridley to his dance, but he did get the next best thing -- an Instagram shoutout.
The Davidson College student recorded a labor-intensive rap video last month, asking the Star Wars star to be his date to an athletic formal. Ambitiously, he even created his own hashtag: #DaisyToDavidson.
Unfortunately, Ridley does not have time to attend college formals right now, because she is busy filming one of the most popular movie franchises of all time. C'est la vie.

But Daisy Ridley is a nice celebrity -- so nice, in fact, that she took the time to respond to Carlock's proposal with a handwritten note.
"Thank you so much for that brilliant invite to your formal," Ridley wrote on Instagram. "Unfortunately I'm locked in an intense staring competition with Luke Skywalker, somewhere in the middle of the galaxy, so won't be able to make it! Let me know how it goes!"
Carlock, we're sorry you don't have a famous formal date. But you do have a personalized Daisy-gram, so we're not that sorry.
