Famously known as India's Banksy, anonymous street artist Daku is known for his provocative works. His new public artwork is different in several ways. It uses sunlight instead of colours and will disappear on May 15.

Called "Time changes everything", the typographic installation uses sunlight and shadows to reflect on the concept of time. Made as part of a recent street art festival in Delhi, the work comprises of a series of cut-outs of words mounted on the walls.

Each word evokes things that change with time -- perception, knowledge, attraction, seasons, love. Every day, as the sun rises and sets, the words form and change their shape throughout the day by the shadows they cast.

"If you are not on time, you can't see it," Daku told Mashable. "Once it was a plain wall. Now, people who are living around it can observe its shadows and movement."

Daku isn't just being philosophical. The words are literally only visible between 9.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., and are best viewed at noon, when the sun's rays fall directly on the wall and make them the most legible However, the words will not be visible after May 15, when the sun stops casting shadows on the wall.

Daku spent close to a month studying the way sunlight fell on the wall during the day, and read up extensively on sundials, before finally making the piece. "It will become an abstract piece after May 15," Daku says. "The work is changing, the wall is changing. Everything around us is changing constantly. That's the law of the universe."

The good news is that people will be able to see the artwork again after August 15, as the sun again changes its direction.

The installation can be viewed at block number 8, Lodhi Colony in New Delhi.
