An original Ghostbusters star has Leslie Jones' back.

After Jones spent a day showing Twitter the racist abuse she receives online, Dan Aykroyd, who starred in the original movie and helped produce the new version starring Jones, weighed in.

"These people, first of all, they're insignificant gnats," Aykroyd said to Entertainment Tonight Canada. "They have no lives of their own, they can barely pay for the wi-fi they're using, probably no jobs. I would say you're looking at obese white men between 50 and 60, who are active Klan members or members of the Aryan Nation, and there are millions of them."

Jones has since left Twitter, so she won't be deluged with racist messages and photos. If she decides to return, she knows one more Ghostbuster is on team #LoveforLeslieJ.
