Daniel Day-Lewis may come out of deep freeze for Paul Thomas Anderson reunion
LOS ANGELES -- There Will Be Threads.
Or at least ... there might be. And they Will Be Fabulous.
Daniel Day-Lewis who, true to his character, has not been seen or heard from since he won the Oscar for the 2012 Steven Spielberg masterpiece Lincoln, is in talks to reunite with his There Will Be Blood director Paul Thomas Anderson for a project that revolves around the fashion industry in the 1950s.

This is all according to Variety, which is careful to note that no deal is in place, no studio is yet onboard and that Day-Lewis has been attached to this project for some time. Annapurna Pictures, the film-finance company founded by Megan Ellison that backed Anderson's The Master and Inherent Vice, is producing and footing the bill.
And that's about all we know for right now.
Reps for Day-Lewis, Anderson and Annapurna did not immediately respond to Mashable's request for comment, despite that we are holding our breath.
Which is to say, with the elusive nature of three-time Oscar winner Day-Lewis, who keeps a miraculously low profile when he's not playing one of his extremely rare roles, there probably won't be confirmation on this one for a good long while -- and it could fizzle out.
On the other hand, if the buzz around a Day-Lewis project is strong enough that it's bubbling up in the Hollywood trade press, there's a better than average chance that this will all go down sometime in the coming year or three.
And if it does, a milkshake toast will be in order.
