F1 racer Daniel Ricciardo is making a name for himself as something of a human headline, and the cheeky boy of racing. From downing champagne from a shoe more than once, the Australian driver has now celebrated executing a difficult racing manoeuvre at the Italian Grand Prix with a cheeky "shaka."

The amount of crash compilations on YoutTube are testament to the dangers of the sport, so it's no wonder Ricciardo was stoked with his execution of a difficult overtake against his rival, Finnish Valtteri Bottas.

F1 cars reach speeds of 375 kph (233 mph) so even a few seconds of one-handed driving is exceptional, let alone accomplishing a daring pounce like Ricciardo's, which earned him an extra 10 points, as he lunged ahead of Bottas in what commentator Martin Bundle called "the overtake of the season."

As the driver, who finished fifth overall told news.com.au, "I was a little way back. Out of the last corner I was like, it's on — it's on this lap," Ricciardo said post-race. “But I knew I was a long way back so I wasn’t convinced I would pull it off but once I did I was like, cool!" adding "I think we didn't touch as far as I know, it was clean — so good fun! I was giggling in the car!"

Shaka on, bro!
