Danny Willett wins the Masters, his brother's tweets win the Internet

So much glee.

LONDON -- On Sunday, English golfer Danny Willett triumphed in the 2016 Masters.

His brother meanwhile, was busy triumphing on the Internet.

PJ Willett's commentary on the final day of the Masters took the form of an excitable series of tweets. By the end of the night, his mixture of sweary frustration, amusing observations and outright glee was being retweeted thousands of times.

PJ started off with some mild ridicule of his brother's golfing rival, Jordan Spieth.

There was some cautious enthusiasm.

Which quickly escalated into ravenous excitement as the evening wore on.



(Frustration and mild desperation were also mingled in.)


PJ's tweets were peppered with brilliant anecdotes.

The best part about the whole thing, though, was the extreme roller coaster of emotions PJ was clearly going through, which he managed to capture perfectly in 140-character form.












(This is possibly our favourite one of all.)


All in all, this guy summed things up pretty well.
