Dave Chappelle's post-election Saturday Night Live monologue likely won't be going for the kumbaya tone that the late-night show tried to strike this past weekend.

Over the weekend, Chappelle performed at a few small New York City clubs, presumably to try out material for Saturday, when he'll host the show for the first time. As expected, his material was election-based. Not as expected? Reports from the evening state he came out hard against Hillary — though his reps state that isn’t the full story.

According to The Observer, his Friday evening show was primarily dedicated to the two presidential candidates — and, like many Americans, he's not a fan of either.

Chappelle reportedly said he “didn’t feel good” about voting for Clinton. “She’s going to be on a coin someday. And her behavior has not been coin-worthy,” he said. “She’s not right and we all know she’s not right.” He also reportedly blamed her for the Billy Bush/Trump tape leak.

Speaking of the infamous tape, he noted, again per The Observer, "Sexual assault? It wasn’t. He said, ‘And when you’re a star, they let you do it.’ That phrase implies consent. I just don’t like the way the media twisted that whole thing. Nobody questioned it."

Setting aside that generous read of consent for a moment, while media reports of the event focused on the anti-Hillary sentiments, Chappelle's rep stressed in a statement to Variety that no one should read the remarks as pro-Trump.

"Dave is disgusted by the tone of the election and especially by the idea that his comedy would be misconstrued to defend [Donald Trump]. His comedy show blasted both candidates. By the way, he voted for Hillary."

Saturday Night Live just got interesting.
