Over the weekend, Deadmau5 got married. More importantly, he bought a bottle of Rick and Morty's famed McDonald's Szechaun sauce for thousands of dollars.

Because, you know, priorities.

As we reported last week, the 64 oz. bottle was put up for auction by Comicbook.com writer Robert Workman, who won it in a special McDonald's giveaway during the premiere of Rick and Morty last month.

Born from an improvised joke from show co-creator and voice actor Justin Roiland, the discontinued 90s McNugget sauce quickly skyrocketed into internet fame. Then Deadmau5 arrived on the scene to escalate the sauce-fueled frenzy and bidding in the auction -- before finally snagging it in the midst of his weekend wedding celebrations.

Originally, the sauce was supposed to go to the buyer who put down $15,000, but then he proved immediately unresponsive after the auction. The second buyer fell through too. And like a goddamn hero, Deadmau5's stepped in to claim his McNugget-y prize.

Workman gave Deadmau5 a shout on Twitter after the first two buyers bailed. The DJ responded immediately, again, despite the fact that he was in the middle of committing himself to eternal love.

In fact, Deadmau5 took time out of his busy day of getting married on Sunday to Tweet about the victory, writing simply: "im getting that fuckin szechuan sauce."

While Workman isn't disclosing the exact number he sold it for, he confirmed that Deadmau5 already paid the substantial amount. Workman was in the process of shipping the thousand-dollar bottle to the DJ as we spoke.

So after committing himself to the woman he loves most in this world, Deadmau5 can expect his true prize to arrive in the mail once he's back from all the festivities.

We're just glad his wedding had a better ending than that of poor, poor Bird Person's.
