Deadpool isn't one to mince words, but even the Merc with a mouth has to apologize sometimes. Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) paid a visit to David Beckham to say sorry for a joke in the first Deadpool movie about the athlete's voice.

Reynolds shared the video to his Twitter feed with the #Deadpool2 hashtag and caption "Little known fact: Canadians are born with a black belt in apology."

In the video, Reynolds-as-Deadpool shows up at Beckham's house apologizing profusely, bringing a bunch of balloons (too soon) and an entire mariachi band before Beckham relents with an "I can't stay mad at you." But he wasn't just mad about the Deadpool joke – he lists Reynolds' other offenses, namely bad movies like Green Lantern and Blade: Trinity.

In the original clip, Wade/Deadpool is feeling down about his mutilated appearance and has convinced himself that Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) will never love him.

"Looks aren't everything," says Al (Leslie Uggams).

"Looks are everything," Wade insists. "Have you ever heard David Beckham speak? It's like he mouth-sexed a can of Helium."

Deadpool releases in theaters May 18.
