Only the biggest Taylor Swift fans would've caught this joke in the Deadpool 2 trailer.

Some sharp-eyed individuals noticed that the Deadpool 2 trailer includes a deep-cut reference to Taylor Swift, as pointed out by Cinema Blend. It happens at the 1:27 mark in the trailer, as Deadpool is spinning around in Professor Xavier's chair:

Even given that much help, you still might miss the reference. It's on screen for less than a second:

The joke is Deapool's T shirt, which has a picture of two cats on it and with the names Olivia and Meredith over them — the names of Swift's cats.

Ryan Reynolds, who plays the titular Deadpool, has a bit of a history with Taylor Swift. On the song "Gorgeous" from Swift's latest album, Reynolds's daughter provided the vocal introduction. Here he is talking about it on Good Morning America Tuesday:

Deadpool is known for its pop culture references and its penchant for breaking the fourth wall, so it's no surprise that even some of the most innocuous scenes could have a joke injected into it that any viewer could easily miss.

Deadpool 2 comes to theaters on May 18.
