Long before Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone serenaded viewers with La La Land, Debbie Reynolds and Gene Kelly were Singin' in the Rain.

Reynolds, who died Wednesday just one day after her daughter actress Carrie Fisher, was Hollywood's "lucky star" (exactly how her character was described in the iconic 1952 musical).

After the film's release, Reynolds went on to have a long career in Hollywood. Here is a look at some of the late actress' most memorable roles.

Singin' in the Rain

This musical put Reynolds on the map at just age 19.

In it, she played Kathy Selden, an aspiring actress and ghost singer to stars. She ends up capturing the heart of movie star Don Lockwood (Kelly), who ultimately ends up helping her rise to fame.

The Unsinkable Molly Brown

Reynolds played Molly, a country girl who ends up striking it rich in Colorado after marrying Johnny Brown (Harve Presnell). The Denver duo end up crashing high society.

The titular role got Reynolds an Oscar nod for best actress in 1965, but she ended up losing to Julie Andrews, who won for Mary Poppins.

The Singing Nun

Reynolds played Jeanine Deckers in the semi-biographical film, which followed the life of -- you guessed it -- a singing nun behind the hit song "Dominique."

The Oscar-nominated musical was released in 1966.

Mother

In the 1996 Albert Brooks comedy, Reynolds shined as overbearing mom Beatrice Henderson.

The role landed her a Golden Globe nomination.

Will & Grace

Reynolds played Bobbi Adler, mother to titular character Grace (played by Debra Messing). She appeared in 10 episodes from 1999-2006, according to IMDB.

Halloweentown

Every Millennial who tuned into Disney channel back in the day remembers the Halloweentown franchise.

What you may not remember is that Reynolds played grandma/badass witch Aggie Cromwell in all four of the franchise films released in 1998, 2001, 2004 and 2006. She even outlasted the series lead Kimberly J. Brown, who was replaced in the fourth installment.

The first film follows a quirky teen named Marnie and her younger siblings after they reunite with their estranged grandma Aggie. They follow her back to her home of Halloweentown, a magical world where witches, goblins and vampires lead normal lives.
