SAVE 20%: As of Dec. 24, you can get the 2024 Apple Mac mini (M4, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $479, down from $599, at Amazon. That's a $120 price cut and just $10 more than its all-time low price.

Apple has been surprisingly generous with deals lately, and honestly, I'm not complaining. If you’ve been looking for a stationary setup that doesn't take up your entire desk (or your entire paycheck), the Mac mini is probably the most cost-effective way to get into the M4 ecosystem. And as Tech Reporter Matt Binder points out in his comparison of the M4 Mac mini and MacBook Pro, you can get nearly the same power for more than half the price if you don't need the portability of a laptop.

As of Dec. 24, you can get the 2024 Apple Mac mini (M4, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD) for $479 at Amazon. That's $120 off its $599 list price and just $10 more than the all-time low we saw earlier this year. While it won't arrive before Christmas, it's a great "belated gift" to yourself to start the new year with a much faster workstation.

This redesigned model is only five by five inches, but don't let its size fool you. It's built for Apple Intelligence, features a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU, and, for the first time, includes front-facing USB-C ports and a headphone jack for easier access.
