No one was injured in the making of these 65,724 sandwiches.

Those driving south on Interstate 287 in Piscataway, New Jersey, this morning were stuck in traffic due to a collision between one truck full of bread and another full of packaged deli meat.

Even though the trailer part of the bread truck appears to have been destroyed, luckily no injuries were reported as a result of the collision, according to NBC 4 New York.

The accident occurred just before 6 a.m. today, and the early lunch was all cleaned up (rather, tragically thrown away) by about 7:30 a.m.

If innocent bread and deli meat were sacrificed to save a few lives today, then sandwiches are even more amazing than we thought.
