Delta is making all its in-flight entertainment free
Great news for your next long flight on Delta: The airline is making all of its in-flight entertainment free.
That's 300 movies, 750 television shows, 2,400 songs, 18 channels of live satellite TV and even some games, available to stream directly on passengers' devices as well as on seatback screens on equipped aircraft.
The free entertainment is available on Delta's two-class aircraft, which make up about 90% of its flights. Entertainment options will vary by aircraft, according to the airline.

“The only thing better than operating the world's largest in-flight entertainment-equipped fleet is providing it free to all our guests,” Delta's Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Tim Mapes said in a statement.
Delta, along with other legacy airlines like United and American, has lagged a bit in in-flight entertainment behind JetBlue and Virgin America. The legacy airlines have much larger fleets, making things like adding high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi a bigger endeavor.
