Tinder and Delta want to help you pretend to be a world traveler on your dating profile

Fake it 'til you make it?

If you are too busy or strapped for cash to actually go abroad, but you still want to look like a seasoned traveler, Delta and Tinder have a fix for you.

Apparently if your profile photo makes you look like a world traveler, you're more likely to get that coveted swipe right on Tinder. But plane tickets are expensive. So Delta has designed a way for you to get that jet-setting pic -- without ever leaving home.

There is now a wall featuring nine different scenes of popular destinations around the world, conveniently located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You got your classic Eiffel Tower, your red London phone booth, and an Egyptian pyramid, among others.

Throughout the summer, Delta is encouraging singles to post their photos on Instagram using the hashtag #DeltaDatingWall. And some people have already got in on the action. A few look sort of real (I guess?) from afar; others are far more obviously staged.

This wall is cute purely as art, but it's pretty clear if you look at the photos for more than two seconds that the image behind them is painted on brick. So it's probably not the smartest way to convince your potential matches that you're busy trotting across the globe.

Plus, if you ever do match with someone based on your purported love of jet-setting, you'll eventually you will have to explain that you never really went to these places. Which could be a funny story, but could also make you appear more than a little desperate...

But take heart, there is a solution: why not take a cool pic in front of one New York's many real life attractions and steer clear of this branding exercise altogether?
