Guy with an empty beer box on his head races to cover up speed camera

Obstructing speed cameras earns you hero status among some people, obviously less so by authorities.

An Australian man with an empty beer carton on his head has been filmed attempting to block the window of a police car, apparently near Tamworth, that was detecting speeding drivers.

The video was filmed and uploaded onto the Facebook page of satirical news site The Bell Tower Times. The mystery person has been since dubbed "demerit man."

A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson told the Newcastle Herald that it has knowledge of the incident, and that it is investigating.

In the meantime, people got to praise their new, very Australian god.
