The bizarre dog-loving fans of Johnny Depp come together in Australia
The circus has arrived.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have made an appearance at the usually humdrum suburb of Southport in Queensland, Australia to face court on Monday morning.
In May last year, Depp and Heard were caught sneaking their two Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, into the country and now they are facing the music.

In what is probably the highest profile case in Southport Magistrates Court history, Depp and Heard battled an epic scrum of cameras and reporters along with a flurry of people resembling the paparazzi of Rodeo Drive.
The courthouse was also overrun with dozens of obsessive Johnny Depp fans hoping to score a Jack Sparrow selfie, an autograph or to gift him with a handmade card featuring a photo of a dog.

Despite the supposed seriousness of the charges, the star factor turned the case into quite the show. As cameramen pushed and shoved in the scrum, celebrity worshippers waited in the wings hoping for a rare encounter with the Hollywood stars. It was just like a movie premiere but with magistrates.

Esra Arslan and her new husband Jarrad Nicoll told MyGC that they weren't massive fans of Depp and wouldn't be waiting outside the court. "We have other things planned," Nicoll told the publication. Not sure what could be more important than this, Jarrad.

UPDATE: April 18, 2016, 2:54 p.m. AEST Amber Heard has been sentenced to a A$1000 good behaviour bond, with no conviction recorded, according to the Courier-Mail.
