LOS ANGELES -- We see what you did there, Wreck-It Ralph.

Disney Animation Studios set up a Facebook Live stream on Thursday morning to announce an undisclosed new project after teasing it on Twitter the day before:

When the stream started, there was Wreck-It Ralph director Rich Moore, and it was immediately clear that this would be an announcement for Wreck-It Ralph 2

Moore brought out co-director Phil Johnston and then voice star John C. Reilly (who kind of spoiled this news last year when he said he's signed on for the sequel, but this makes it "official").

But before Reilly could start talking about the new story, the stream cut off.

At first it seemed like a glitch -- but once Disney's official announcement hit minutes later, it was pretty clear that this was the way it was meant to be:

Wreck-It Ralph is heading back to the big screen, and this time, he’s wrecking the internet.

The joke might have been more accessible if mobile livestreaming wasn't so prone to unexpected cut-offs, but hey. We got it eventually.

Wreck-It Ralph 2 comes to theaters on March 9, 2018.
