He said it himself: Indiana Jones is like a bad penny -- he'll always turn up.

Over 10 years after his last big screen caper and almost 40 years since his first, the adventurous archaeologist will return for another film, Disney and Lucasfilm announced Tuesday.

Disney, which now owns Lucasfilm and the Indiana Jones franchise, has slated a fifth, untitled Indiana Jones movie for July 19, 2019, bringing back director Steven Spielberg, star Harrison Ford, and producers Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy.

“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”

Spielberg's first Indiana Jones feature was Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, followed by Temple of Doom in 1984 and 1989's The Last Crusade. Despite mixed reception, 2008's revival of the character in Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was a massive financial hit around the world, with $786 million in global box office.

After Crystall Skull, Lucasfilm passed ownership from Paramount to Disney. Given the company's history with reviving 80s franchises (ever heard about those Star Wars?), a film with Disney could be perfect escapade for Dr. Henry Jones, Jr.
