'The Simpsons' predicted Disney would take Fox over one day
Trust The Simpsons to have predicted one of the biggest entertainment acquisitions in media history 20 years ahead of its time.
The Fox sitcom foresaw the company being owned by Disney back in 1998. In the episode, Homer gets a personal assistant job in Hollywood and pitches his script at 20th Century Fox, "a division of Walt Disney Co."
Season 10, episode 5, "When You Dish Upon A Star" aired Nov. 8, 1998 and guest starred Alec Baldwin, Kim Basinger, Ron Howard, and Brian Grazer as themselves.

The Simpsons was created at Fox and is happy to poke fun at the network, just as 30 Rock consistently took jabs at NBC and eventually reenacted its real-life acquisition by Comcast (a.k.a. Kabletown).
Disney announced the purchase of Fox on Thursday morning, which includes 21st Century Fox, cable channels, and a majority stake in Hulu. The FOX broadcast channel will remain separate.
