BBC drops massive hint about the identity of the next Doctor Who

With the latest season of Doctor Who having just drawn to a close, the big question on every Whovian's lips is this: who will the next Doctor be?

Well, either the BBC are just cheerfully trolling us at this stage OR they dropped a very large hint during Tuesday night's episode of Newsnight.

The woman in that clip is British actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge -- the star of the popular Amazon Prime show Fleabag. There have been rumours flying around for awhile now that she may be playing the new Doctor.

So does that clip confirm it?

Well, no, not exactly. Obviously Waller-Bridge will be aware of the Doctor Who rumours, and whether she's taking up the mantle or not she will have been asked not to give anything away.

It surely makes her one of the favourites, though...
