'Doctor Who' gives us our first look at Ncuti Gatwa as the new Doctor

The Doctor and Ruby have officially landed in the swinging '60s.

The next incarnation of the Doctor is here – and he's landed in the swinging '60s.

Ncuti Gatwa follows as the fifteenth Doctor in the BBC's Doctor Who. Gatwa, of Sex Education fame, told Mashable that it felt "really powerful" to take on the role.

The first pictures reveal the Doctor and companion Ruby Sunday, played by Millie Gibson, clad in iconic, era-appropriate outfits.
