Dog's birthday party puts most human parties to shame

Lick the candles out and make a wish!

Who says dogs can't have their cake and eat it too?

Writer Mina Kimes uploaded a dog-filled video of her parents' dog's backyard birthday party on Sunday. The shindig, complete with a "Happy Birthday" banner hanging on the fence, made Kimes jealous. Apparently, the bash was better than any that she had as a kid.

In another pic, we see the full barbecue spread on a football-themed tablecloth. Though kibble doesn't seem to have a spot on the lineup, we're sure the dogs were well fed.

Hopefully Kimes' doesn't stay bitter for too long. After all, a simple dog soiree is nothing to bark home about.

Harry is a fellow on the Culture Team. He loves memes and Taylor Swift (no, like, actually.) He'd like to thank his parents for always believing in him. This will be his first broadway production. Oh, wait, he thought this was a Playbill bio...
