You shouldn't leave your dog in a hot, parked car because it creates life-threatening conditions.

But if you leave the car running to keep them cool, it's still dangerous since they might drive it into a Walmart.

Last Friday in Wayne, West Virginia, this is precisely what happened.

The owner of two dogs and one car left the keys in the ignition in order to leave the air conditioning on for the pups. However, a terrier in the drivers seat knocked the car out of park, causing it to roll right into the Walmart.

After the crash, a witness saw a second dog pop up in the passenger seat and roll the window down, presumably to let in a cool breeze to celebrate their joy ride.

The driver of the car was an elderly woman who was paged to the front of the store after the accident.

Once the footage of the dogs went viral, authorities released the surveillance footage, in which you can watch the car slowly head toward the store.

We've compiled a list of potential theories for why the dogs crashed into the Walmart. -They were claustrophobic. -The dogs just turned 16 and wanted to prove they knew how to drive on their own now. -They wanted to blow off some steam. -They recently watched Thelma and Louise and wanted to recreate a lower stakes version of their favorite scene. -The dogs were taking a stand on behalf of all of the dogs who've been locked in parked cars before them. -The dogs had were trying to push an anti-capitalist agenda.

Regardless of the reason, we're glad no dog or person was harmed in the accident.
