Domino's Pizza failed spectacularly at making a heart-shaped pizza yesterday

At least you put the effort in, Domino's.

Valentine's Day is the time for people to surprise their loved ones with gifts and trips. With all of the work put into these surprises, one would hope that their plans would go smoothly.

Reddit user chopped_broccoli was surprised by their girlfriend when she sent a heart shaped pizza to their hotel room while they were away on a business trip. However, when they opened the box, the pizza didn't really look .

The poorly-shaped pizza, with what looks like a chunk cut out of it is made all the better from the message the staff wrote on the inside of the box.

"We tried," they wrote and we love them for it.

At least they didn't skimp on the pepperoni.
