So Donald Glover tweeted out a script for his canned 'Deadpool' cartoon

The 'Deadpool' animated series won't be happening, so Donald Glover shared what would have been a script for one of the episodes.

Donald Glover was all set to do an animated Deadpool series with Marvel TV... until he wasn't. Thank goodness he has Twitter.

That cartoon could have been epic. The Atlanta creator and true star of Solo: A Star Wars Story knows his way around both comedy and social commentary, and he surely would have done amazing things with Deadpool.

But alas, it's not to be. Glover and Marvel TV parted ways over the weekend, with FX -- the network Deadpool was intended for (technically it was FXX) -- citing "creative differences." A real shame.

There had been some speculation that Glover was just too busy to take on Deadpool in addition to his work on Atlanta and Childish Gambino, promoting Solo, and gearing up for his role as Simba in Disney's live-action take on The Lion King. Glover put that theory to rest in a tweet that totally wasn't passive-aggressive or anything.

That tweet actually turned out to be the jumping-off point for a thread consisting of more than a dozen tweets in which Glover shared pages from one of his Deadpool scripts. It's... very funny. Whoever let this get away on the Marvel/FX side made a big mistake.

Sigh.
