At this point, Donald Trump is essentially the human version of a meme.

Bright and early on Monday morning, the man who was elected leader of an entire country let his 56 million Twitter followers know he has no idea how to spell the word "smoking."

"Democrats can’t find a Smocking Gun tying the Trump campaign to Russia after James Comey’s testimony. No Smocking Gun...No Collusion," Trump tweeted, attempting to quote Fox News.

To make things worse, Trump incorrectly spelled "smoking" as "smocking" not one, but two times. That means it's unlikely it was an autocorrect mishap and instead the way he truly thinks the word is spelled.

And unfortunately for him, he also spelled the word like the meme associated with Jim Carey's character in 1994 comedy, The Mask.

So it's no surprise that the thing many people took away from the president's tweet was not the bashing of democrats, reference to Obama, or a shot at Cohen. It was quite simply that this 72-year-old man with so much power can't even manage to spell properly, or at the very least, proofread his tweets before he sends them.

As has been done after many of Trump's previous Twitter flubs (lookin' at you, covfefe,) people were quick to mock the "smock" spelling.

Sadly, this wasn't even Trump's first time misspelling the word smoking. According to the Trump Twitter Archive he tweeted "smocking gun" again when quoting the Washington Post, which Stephen Colbert had a nice time poking fun at.

Perhaps a dictionary account will come to the rescue and shed some light on "smocking" for him.
