Washington Post staffer says Donald Trump hit on her
A female Washington Post staffer said that Donald Trump hit on her after the Republican presidential candidate sat for a meeting with the paper's editorial board on Monday.
Karen Attiah, a deputy digital editor for The Washington Post's opinions section, described her interactions with Trump in an opinion piece for the Post.

Attiah wrote that she questioned Trump about "if he plans to run on and/or govern on a message of racial inclusion" as the meeting was wrapping up.

After the meeting, she said she thanked Trump for taking her question.
He turned to me and said, “I really hope I answered your question,” and added casually with a smile, “Beautiful.” I was stunned. I didn’t say thank you, and I don’t think I smiled.
Attiah suggested that Trump may have thought that calling her beautiful would make her "ignore the fact that he brazenly lied" about his polling among Hispanic voters, part of the subject of their exchange.
"At least now I know, firsthand, that the sexism that Trump puts on display against Megyn Kelly under the lights of national TV is not that much different from how he is in real life toward female journalists," Attiah wrote. "Sad."

The alleged encounter comes as the Trump campaign is under more scrutiny for treatment of women after former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields accused Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski of grabbing and shoving her at a Florida campaign rally earlier this month. Fields reported the episode to police and a Washington Post reporter identified Lewandowski as the person who grabbed her.
The Trump campaign has denied those accounts, and Breitbart published an article, after initially calling for an apology, casting doubt on Lewandowski's involvement.
Fields resigned from Breitbart in the wake of the incident.
On Monday, BuzzFeed reported that Lewandowski had made "sexual comments" about female journalists and made "unwanted romantic advances" toward women covering the campaign.

Lewandowski told BuzzFeed that the story was "factually inaccurate."
The Trump campaign defended Lewandowski in a statement as a "political professional who has worked tirelessly to Make America Great Again."
The recent Buzzfeed story is false. This Buzzfeed reporter has an established track record of inaccurate posts about Mr. Trump, and has been repeatedly wrong on everything from claims that Mr. Trump would never run to this latest nonsense. After months upon months of repeated attempts to malign Mr. Trump, it has become clear some have turned their attention on Corey, a political professional who has worked tirelessly to Make America Great Again. Corey is a loyal aide and trusted advisor to Mr. Trump, and is otherwise a private citizen who does not deserve anonymous, disparaging and totally false accusations and will fight back will all available legal remedies peddled by this disgruntled blogger.
