'Dots & Co' blends the familiar 'Dots' action with striking visuals and soundtrack
Make a square. Make another square. Draw a line between many brightly colored points. Sink some anchors.
If all these actions give you a calm satisfaction, you probably play Two Dots and maybe its big brother, Dots.
Dots & Co, the third mobile game in the franchise, scratches those same itches for fans, with new mechanics and captivating change in art direction.

Dots & Co's puzzle design is similar to Two Dots; you'll see a board with various colored dots, and will need to complete each level's objective to pass to the next. Connecting dots of the same color, and making squares to clear all dots of one color, are still its main tricks, but there are now new additions to help you pass a tricky level.
Each Dots & Co level has its own unique companion, who sits at the top of the board and watches your play. Eliminating special pieces, which are shaped like triangles but still function like normal dots, builds up your companion's power.
Once charged, they each have their own skill that will significantly even the odds. For example, the penguin, Anita, eliminates all the dots of one color at random.
Along with the gameplay changes, Dots & Co also has a new art design. Game Director Margaret Robertson said the aesthetic aims to make fans feel even more connected with the game's lush environments, giving them peaceful moments as they play.
If you want to see more about Dots & Co, Robertson appeared on Mashable's Facebook Live to demonstrate the game.
Dots & Co is out now for free for both iOS and Android.
