Hooooly crap, Doug Jones did it.

On Tuesday night, he became the first Democrat to win a Senate seat in Alabama since 1992, back when Kris Kross was still a thing.

Looks like saying homophobic and racist things -- along with being accused of sexually assaulting teenagers -- didn't work out too well for Republican Roy Moore. The GOP's advantage in the Senate has now been trimmed to 51-49, which is why the party is rushing to put the finishing touches on its tax plan.

Jones supporters, after freaking out about that damn New York Times needle, couldn't contain their joy after several news outlets called the race for the Democrat. That included Hillary Clinton and Republican Sen. Jeff Flake.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr chipped in with a nod to the state's legendary college football program.

I mean, this is just too beautiful ...

Doug Jones made sure to thank the good people of Alabama.

And, of course, the media had some strong reactions.

Sweet home Alabama, indeed.
