Everyone is invited to a virtual cocktail party at Downton Abbey

Ring the bell and call for the chauffeur: Downton Abbey is throwing a ball, and everyone's invited! Sort of.

According to People, the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, who own the real life Downton Abbey (actually Highclere Castle), are hosting a virtual cocktail party via Facebook Live on Friday, April 17.

The Earl and Countess plan to discuss the history of Highclere, drink period cocktails from the 1920s and 1930s, and share stories about what it was like to have Downton Abbey filmed in their home.

Keeping with the theme of the show, the Earl and Countess will have a little jazz (Lady Rose would approve), a little gin (everyone on Downton would approve), and a lot of throwback glamour (fans of the show and movie will definitely approve).

It's not every day you get an invitation to sip gin and mingle with a Countess, so anyone interested should get their outfit laid out, make sure their lady's maid is set, and prepare for a night to remember.
