One of the most popular streamers on Twitch, Guy "Dr. Disrespect" Beahm, announced he'll be taking some time off after admitting to being unfaithful to his wife.

Beahm hosted a short live stream Thursday in which he appeared without his iconic black wig, sunglasses, and bravado to address viewers, saying that he has been unfaithful to his wife and will be taking some time away from streaming to focus on his family.

His announcement starts around the 1:50 mark.

Beahm rocketed in popularity in 2017 with the release of PlayerUnknown's Battleground, a game he frequently streamed while in character as Dr. Disrespect. He has over 1.4 million followers on Twitch and was just named 2017's Trending Gamer at The Game Awards a week before his announcement.

Visibly shaken, Beahm addressed his viewers Thursday night, saying he wanted to be completely transparent.

"As you guys know, I have a beautiful family, a wife and kid," he said, "And I want to be transparent that I've been unfaithful."

After saying he'd be taking some time off because of his "stupid fucking mistakes," Beahm apologized to his fan group, known as Slick Daddy, his viewers, his sponsors, and Twitch.
