Of course Drake admits to drunk texting J-Lo on 'More Life'

For a fleeting, exquisite moment in December, we all thought Drake and J-Lo might be dating or at least collaborating.

They cuddled. They selfied. They reminded us we are on this Earth for only a heartbeat; there is only loving and being loved. And yet, when Drake's new "playlist" More Life appeared on Saturday, there was no new track featuring Ms. Lopez. How cruel.

She's gone, but not forgotten. In the opening track "Free Smoke," Drake raps that he sends J-Lo messages while under the influence. Apparently, she has declined to update him with her new digits.

"I drunk text J-Lo; Old number, so it bounce back; Boi-1da got the bounce back."

There's a second pseudo-cameo: More Life's "Teenage Fever" samples the J-Lo classic, "If you had my love," leading the internet to speculate about just what Drake was up to.

There's also the mystery of the song "Get it Together." As Complex pointed out, the track was playing in the background of the now-infamous J-Lo and Drake prom video, but on More Life, U.K. singer Jorja Smith features instead.

So there you have it folks.

Once we imagined a meeting of souls, now we're left with more Drake embarassing confessions. Plus, an always-timely reminder of just how good "If you had my love" is.
