Photographer creates a 'dudeoir' photoshoot to perfectly capture the essence of autumn

Taking the #PumpkinButt trend to a whole new level.

Step aside apple-picking photos and #PumpkinButt babies, there's a new photoshoot that sums up the true meaning of the fall season.

Photographer Gayla Thompson composed a "dudeoir" photoshoot of her husband Ryan Thompson and well, you won't look at pumpkins the same way again.

"We've done a couple more 'dudeoir' shoots in the past and they blew up on Facebook so that encouraged Ryan to work with me on more," she told Mashable. We have to assume "dudeoir" is just the dudebro form of a boudoir photoshoot.

"They were all my idea but once we got started on them all he just freaking ROCKED it!" Thompson said. "There was no direction given. Just taking pictures of him doing his thing."

Thompson started doing photography at the beginning of the year and started posting her own photos on her website GT Photography. Most of the time, she's working on portraits and events, but decided to try her hand at this fall-themed project.

The Nashville-based photographer got inspired by the big trend in 'dudeoir' photos that's been circulating the internet. She decided to do the shoot in a field in Castalian Springs, Tennessee, just north of Nashville. At the time, her husband was her only model.

"These shoots with my husband are more fun than the typical client because I can experiment with anything and everything without the nervousness of messing something up for pay," she expressed to Mashable. "And because my husband is just a natural."

The couple received praise for the photoshoot from family and friends. The Facebook post has already garnered 129 shares and counting.

Thompson did have one challenge with this collection, however.

"The only challenge was that the field is viewable from a public main road and people were starting to slow down and STARE at Ryan's #PumpkinButt and he almost quit on me," she told Mashable.

So the next time you're thinking of creating a traditional autumn photoshoot with your significant other, maybe consider thinking outside the box.
