Naturally, it's a coffee stout.

Dunkin' Donuts will raise a pint to its home state of Massachusetts this winter, partnering with a local brewery to bring its fans a stout beer made with the doughnut retailer's house brand of coffee beans.

Per a press release from the company, the DDark Roasted Brew, produced in collaboration with Wormtown Brewery in Worcester, "features full-roasted coffee flavor reminiscent of freshly-ground beans with a creamy mouthfeel," and goes on sale starting Thursday, Dec. 21. The collaboration is part of a larger campaign from Dunkin' surrounding the first day of winter.

But before you plan a nightcap at your local Dunkin' location, you should know: it's only available on tap at the brewery where it's made.

And as a Dunkin' rep tells us, it's a limited edition release "while supplies last," and there are no plans at this time to bottle and sell the brew nationwide.

So, in other words, if you're in the area and you're desperate for a dark roast coffee stout, you'll have to act fast. Pints go on sale starting at 11:28 a.m. ET Thursday, the exact time of the winter solstice.

But if you, like most of us, can't make it to a Massachusetts brewery on a weekday morning, rest easy. There are about a billion other coffee brews waiting in the beer aisle of your nicest supermarket.
