NEW YORK -- Leave it to the Rock to spoil a surprise.

An hour before Studio71's (formerly Collective Digital Studio) NewFront presentation on Tuesday, Dwayne Johnson revealed on Instagram that he's partnering with the company for a new YouTube channel.

Titled "Seven Bucks Digital Studios," the new venture will be a "natural extension of Johnson’s expertise and passion for social media platforms and digital content creation," Studio71 said in a release.

"Through Seven Bucks Productions, Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia have built an entertainment brand that crosses all mediums, and we see this as an organic expansion of Johnson’s huge online presence,” said Dan Weinstein, President of Studio71, in a statement.

The Rock is no stranger to the digital space. He boasts over 100 million followers across his social handles, will feature his own videos as well as shine a spotlight on his production company Seven Bucks Productions' projects along with other creators.

He's frequently appeared in YouTube videos, including with Studio71's Lilly Singh.

At Defy Media's NewFronts presentation, the company highlighted how the Rock appears in a ScreenJunkies video to officiate a wedding.

The YouTube Channel "will deliver monthly collaborations with top digital native talent as well as an action-filled scripted online series."

Seven Bucks Digital Studios is expected to debut this summer.
