The Rock says he's 'seriously considering' running for president on 'Ellen'

Get ready for the the possibility of President The Rock. Maybe it's President Rock?

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, a lovable and charismatic pro wrestler turned movie star continues to hint at the possibility of a presidential run in the 2020 election. While this would probably sound insane two years ago, Donald Trump sorta changed all that.

Johnson appeared on Ellen on Tuesday with his BFF Kevin Hart to promote the release of Jumanji. While on the show, Ellen asked if he was seriously considering running. As if it were rehearsed, (it probably was!) Hart jumped in to say that Johnson is a genuine and caring person.

"I know where his heart is, I really know him, so I know if he puts himself in that position it's for the better of the people," Hart said.

"Will you run?" DeGeneres asked. "Seriously, would you run."

"I'm seriously considering it," Johnson said.

Johnson has previously hinted at a run for president, telling GQ earlier this year that "it's a real possibility." However, he has also been shy with his political siding. He spoke at both the Republican National Convention in 2000, and attended the Democratic National Convention that year. He is reportedly registered as an independent.
