LOS ANGELES -- E! is rolling out its first series for Snapchat.

The Rundown, which premieres Thursday on the mobile platform, will be a weekly news show hosted by E! News correspondent Erin Lim.

It will "cover everything E! News’ passionate, hyper-connected fan base want and need to stay in-the-know on the biggest trending stories of the week along with offering a unique and humorous take on all things pop culture," the network said in a release.

Mashable got an exclusive look at two clips from the series, which launches Thursday.

The first clip (above) is called "Yeesus video girl." The second is about swimmer Ryan Lochte on Dancing with the Stars.

The new Snapchat-exclusive show comes about a month after NBCUniversal (which owns E!) first announced its partnership with Snapchat.

Under the deal, NBCUniversal will develop and sell advertising packages incorporating Snapchat’s expanded set of advertising products into its sponsorship, mobile and video offerings.

The Voice on Snapchat, which debuted Aug. 22, was the first series to kick off the content deal. It was a five-episode short-form series powered by fans.

The handful of original programs are being rolled out as part of a multi-year deal between Snapchat and NBCUniversal.

E! — best known as the home of red-carpet specials and the Kardashians — has been ramping up its efforts to expand its programming and change the perception that it only delivers one type of show.

In March of 2015, E! took the plunge into scripted original programming by premiering the drama The Royals. Later that year, the network took a chance on YouTube star Grace Hebig by giving her her own show (a move imitated by other networks, including MTV). The series averaged modest ratings, but it still gave E! the opportunity to dabble in the digital space and diversify its audience by attracting young digital viewers to television.

E! then expanded its footprint in the digital world by announcing its first ever slate of original digital series, including Hashtaggers.

A large part of the network's efforts have been dedicated to combining the digital and linear parts of its News/Online division, with digital leadership at the head.

The network also boasts two popular digital shows: Live From E!, a live weekday web-show hosted by E! News talent; and E! News Now, an original short-form news series produced specifically for broadband and mobile platforms.

Recently E! News announced and launched a slate of Facebook Live series that will also be available on other platforms, including YouTube and Periscope, starting in the fall.
