9 extremely easy, last-minute Halloween costumes perfect for 2020
If you're anything like me, then Halloween creeps up on you every year and you've got nothing planned.
Don't fret: This year I'm here to help.
Halloween doesn't have to be a whole thing, you can go simple. Sometimes that's the best option, especially in 2020, where things are already pretty strange out there.

Here are nine easy ideas for a last-minute Halloween costume.
1. Three-hole-punch Jim (or whatever your name is)
If you're a fan of The Office like me, then why not copy Jim Halpert's classic I-barely-even-tried costume? It just a few black circles on a white shirt and BAM, you're the three-hole-punch version of yourself. Easy peasy.
2. Another Jim classic. Go as Face...book.
Simple. Easy. Kind of dumb. The picture tells you everything you need to know to make the costume, even though this scene was actually deleted from the Office episode.
3. Just wear a facemask that doubles as a costume
We should all be wearing facemasks this Halloween, unless you plan to stay entirely at home. The COVID-19 pandemic is not over, no matter how much we wish it were.
Masks and Halloween do, however, go hand in hand. Some enterprising mask makers have begun making facemasks that are costumes in and of themselves.

4. Grab a Halloween onesie
So this option might be a bit more costly, but it's definitely reusable. I have worn the same turtle onesie for three straight years and frankly, it's wonderful and comfortable. Amazon has lots of options in this category, including this Phoebe Bridgers-esque skeleton onesie for $49.99.

5. Go as an "undecided voter"
There is an election coming up and, apparently, somehow, some folks remain undecided. You can just wear a white t-shirt, scribble "undecided voter" on it, then refuse to answer any questions or make any definitive statements all night, no matter how obvious the answer may be.
6. Go as someone working from home
Slap on some PJs. Grab a coffee mug. Tote your laptop around all day. Look really stressed. And there you have it, you're a person working from home during the pandemic.
7. Go as an antibody
With COVID-19 in the news, we all know what antibodies are these days. All you have to do is write "anti" on a shirt and you are...you guessed it... an antibody.

8. Be your online persona
If you have a printer, this is a super easy option. If you do not have a printer, maybe skip this one.
Just print out some of your favorite tweets, Instagram posts, or TikTok screenshots, then attach them to your shirt. You're no longer Tim Marcin, for example, you're @TimMarcin.

9. Be fragile
One final idea: Just make a fragile sticker (it can just be written on paper) and wear it. Or you can buy stickers like these. We're all a bit fragile right now, aren't we? Embrace that feeling for Halloween.
