Many internet denizens weren't so pleased with Ed Sheeran's musical cameo in Game of Thrones -- so much so that when he deleted his Twitter account the next day, people assumed he'd been driven away by critics.

But Ed Sheeran says that is not the case. In fact, Ed Sheeran is pleased with his Game of Thrones performance, and no one can take that away from him.

"I came off Twitter coz I was always intending to come off Twitter, had nothing to do with what people said about my Game of Thrones cameo, because I am in Game of Thrones, why the hell would I worry what people thought about that," Sheeran wrote on Instagram Wednesday, now his preferred social platform.

"It's clearly fuckin' awesome," he added. "Timing was just a coincidence, but believe what you want."

See? Young Edward is doing just fine, and this was all part of the plan.

Sheeran's Twitter account has been reinstated, but all his many illustrious tweets have been deleted except for these automatically shared from Instagram.

So if you have some shit to say to Ed Sheeran, please say it in his Instagram comments.
